Send Your Partner Fitness Selfies
Lyuda and I are apart during the day and we always keep in touch through text messages and “selfie” photo shots of whatever it is we're doing. My favorite selfie is the “fitness selfie,” where we snap shots of ourselves mid- or post-workout.
Nothing gets me going more than seeing Lyuda halfway through an exercise session, sweating and getting fitter. It motivates me to go the extra mile in my own workouts – and I’m sure my own fitness selfies have the same effect on her.
Having a partner that’s motivated to get fitter is nice because you share the same goals and can push each other to reach your limits.
Lyuda and I are always out the door early in the morning so we can get a workout in before the day starts. Lyuda usually goes for a run, whereas I head to the tennis courts. It’s always fun when I check my phone at work in the late morning to find a couple selfie shots of Lyuda at the gym. She looks so hot in her workout clothes – and that’s not just a metaphor because sweat is dripping from her face most of the time.
It’s rewarding to find the discipline and resolve to stick to a rigorous fitness program, and having a significant other who does the same definitely makes it easier.
If you’re into working out, but your boyfriend (or girlfriend) isn’t, start sending him shots of you during your workouts – maybe it will get him motivated to start his own fitness routine. If you’re already receiving selfie fitness shots from your partner, he's trying to tell you something -- it might be wise to start hitting the gym.
